Cost-effective prototyping. There are local organizations in Knoxville and Tri-Cities that can help you develop your own patent prototype.

In Knoxville, Knox Makers offers classes and 24/7 access to tools for woodworking, metalworking, electronics, 3D printing, fabric, leather working, laser cutting, and art projects.

Kingsport, Bristol, and Johnson City inventors have similar resources available at The Inventor Center, a public-private partnership with the City of Kingsport.

Guest lecture at ETSU. I had the pleasure yesterday of speaking to Professor Atkins's Fashion Merchandising class at Eastern Tennessee State University in Johnson City. We discussed trademark branding, counterfeiting, and the role of US Customs and Border Protection in protecting intellectual property rights.

Contact me if you would like me to speak to your class or organization about patent, trademark, or copyright issues.
