Return as Guest Lecturer. Professor Atkins was kind enough to invite me back again this year to speak to her fashion merchandising class at ETSU. The students had excellent questions about trademark branding and counterfeiting.

Kingsport Bar Presentation. I spoke last week at the Kingsport Bar lunch meeting. The title of my presentation was “What to Tell Clients Seeking a Patent or Trademark.”
Clients seeking invention or brand protection often take weeks or months before reaching out to a trademark or patent attorney. Many of these clients inadvertently harm their trademark or patent rights in the meantime because they act before getting appropriate legal advice. If you are an attorney who does not practice patent or trademark law, you can still help clients by giving them basic advice about preventative steps that will help the client avoid problems with respect to their intellectual property rights.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like me to discuss patent or trademark law at your local bar association meeting.
Cost-effective prototyping. There are local organizations in Knoxville and Tri-Cities that can help you develop your own patent prototype.
In Knoxville, Knox Makers offers classes and 24/7 access to tools for woodworking, metalworking, electronics, 3D printing, fabric, leather working, laser cutting, and art projects.
Kingsport, Bristol, and Johnson City inventors have similar resources available at Home · Contact · About
